Bengal today overcame a tough hurdle in Santosh Trophy, edging out Punjab by a solitary goal today at the Mottapadi Football Stadium in Kozhikode, Kerala. Battling on an even keel for the most part of the game, the all-important goal was scored by Subham Bhowmick after both the teams were locked goalless at half-time.
